| 门狮是指传统建筑中大门两旁设置的石狮。民间建筑中通常被作为守门的瑞兽。由于受封等级规制约束，民宅门前是不能越制摆放的，古代民间建筑中，门狮多摆放于村镇口，祠堂，会馆，王府，园林等场所。其用意在于避凶纳福，镇宅守候。 The door lion refers to the stone lion set on both sides of the gate in the traditional architecture.
