门狮是指传统建筑中大门两旁设置的石狮
门狮是指传统建筑中大门两旁设置的石狮。民间建筑中通常被作为守门的瑞兽。由于受封等级规制约束，民宅门前是不能越制摆放的，古代民间建筑中，门狮多摆放于村镇口，祠堂，会馆，王府，园林等场所。其用意在于避凶纳福，镇宅守候。
The door lion refers to the stone lion set on both sides of the gate in the traditional architecture. In folk architecture, auspicious animals are usually used as gatekeepers. Due to the restrictions of the seal hierarchy, people's houses can't be placed in front of the gate.
